    I have an old wok which I use with the kids for practise fire lighting - just sit it on a few logs. You can do a lot of basic knife work, definitely knots, and if you have a garden then you can actually do a whole lot.

    I had one too - it was a plastic piece of rubbish but in my mind it would save me from the cold war..... I went up in the world when I bougth a plastic handled Ka Bar lookalike. Blackened blade which came covered in oil inside a plastic cover inside a ....err......PVC sheath. Happy days. And...

    How sharp?

    Hi all. Wondering how sharp you guys think a knife needs to be for bushcraft? My AW bushcraft knife still has its original edge which was never hair shaving sharp. Thinking about sharpening it - how do you tell if it needs it? Thanks.
