heh. Southey: without being there and doing a trial run holiday, its hard to imagine the potential hazards. Watching some TV (whilst im not going to be building snow shoes from reeds..) does inspire thought and can remind you of what you need. My memory isn't great, and seeing someone else do...

Maybe we should put a recipe book together.. From experience, nettle & elderflower cordial is great and simple to make. Whack both together, grind it up, add sugar, water, make a viscious cordial and strain, stick some leaves of both in the bottle, leave it for as long as you can wait...

I'm not sure if i made a mistake purchasing this? I saw it for only £3 and thought 'what the hell, why not...', chucked it in with my amazon CD order. Just can't seem to get it to make any impact on my whitby lock knife. Anyone have one of these, used it successfully or know how i should be...

i mean, i can afford it - but i know people are happier with a lot less and i dont think my zero bushcraft skill warrants such nice gear. yet. I'll just sit in envy for now, and im sure the condor is more than enough for me... heh, by far.
