Nice, at my old house there was a particular hedge and small tree next to it that the local little flock of Longtails seemed to really like, new resident cut both down and they never visited again.

No but i forgot the Longtailed Tits, saw a few of those too.

Me n the missus just spent two days on a large Shropshire farm , full of bird life.

Just used the current issue British military sleep system for a couple of days, specifically the lightweight bag part of the system. Warm, but still tight as regards room/comfort. I’ll recommend it though, but could do with a bit more room for my bulky lump self. I’ll be looking into quilts...
