    Washing in the wild

Ecover washing up liquid - got it for £1 in Tesco before. Used it for everything in Borneo for 3 months - me, plates, clothes. Almost as good as the lifeventure all purpose which is very good but massively more expensive. Soap bars are easiest for washing clothes, liquid for yourself...

Thanks guys, gone with the ebay army jungle boots. I will start a seperate thread with kit list etc when I get my self sorted! Interestingly BOD, on my assesment with Raleigh we got chatting about kit and the guys who had been to Borneo said exactly the same - too much kit. Cheers, Matt.

What book are you reading at the moment?

Just finished The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene - a tough read even if you have an interest in superstring theory! Now reading Tricks of the mind by Derren Brown - good so far.

    Bear Grylls and Scouting

For me this is a classic 'i may not like what you say, but i will fight for your right to say it'. I would have hoped to see scouting operating without the reqiurement for belief in a higher being. However since they clearly state there policy ... fair play to them. I'm sure one can find...

    spyderco ukpc

thanks dwardo, do you know if that one is hollow ground? i'v played with and liked the g10 but wasn't keen on the frn drop point models - that could be a good compromise.

    spyderco ukpc

can anyone point me in the direction of a flat ground spyderco ukpk, like the g10 that i believe is now discontinued. Christmas budget isn't going to extend to a carbon fibre/titanium though I found one in the US for $92 - postage at $35 doesn't help. cheers, matt

    Car Insurance Payouts.

insurance is based on statistics. basically the cost of meeting liabilities versuses the premiums received and its investment value. so they work hard to minimize the payouts - the good condition price in glass's is the normal starting point. If you can prove low mileage, extras or if you...

    Fitness

Try and find something you enjoy and remember it’s the days when you don’t feel like it that you really have to force yourself. If you wake up hung over and coughing that’s the time for a 5 mile run! Injuries need assessing by a doctor but most of the time you will just have...
