Exactly the same for me - I have an eTrex 20; I only use it if I can't see to triangulate a position - small screen is a poor substitute for a nice map and compass and you can't sit on an eTrex to stop your bum getting wet like you can a Active map Landranger!
both the Gammas and their little LED lanthern are excellent bits of kit but then I've fast become an Alpkit fanatic - even bought one of their Heksa tents last year - very very good
Purbeck camping next Month, the Nethy Bridge on 1st May bank holiday. Time to try my new Pioneer stove and get some steak on the fire and enjoy some great walks
check out Blackfox on heinnie- I got my son the Bowie when we climbed our first mountain together (Snowdon, he was 14 so a little older) but it's a superb knife for the money and is lasting exceptionally well
Perfect for light weight camping trips and errm well actually my little girl wants to sell this as she is saving up for something and I know there's a fair few kiddies in tow on here so I thought I'd give first dibs quickly here before putting it on ebay.
It's a 12ft (I think, might be 10)...
Hi All (again)
well I'm sitting at home today so I may as well do something else useful!
I have a Helle GT that I used to use all the time - great knife - but I havent; used it since I got my Paul Harris bushy so I might as well sell it.
It's in good used condition used so marks on the blade...
Thanks Zed, it's a great watch - I don't know why I can't get along with it (I think it's too posh for me :D) anyway I thought I may as well sell it and get something I'll wear
