My sentiments exactly. I've tried in the past to offer my time and labour for woodland work, but nobody seems to want it. Woodland work must be easier than I thought! :P

I seem doomed never to meet you wonderful people again! :( My wife is spending that weekend with her brothers so I've got to take care of our two kids. I'm bummed; I was really hoping I could make this one. :( :( :(

I've done it a few times and the yield is good. In addition, I also use a tin without any holes as a store for charcoal after a BBQ. Rather than let it burn to ash, when I'm done cooking I load the charcoal into a tin and seal the lid. Without Oxygen the fire starves and the charcoal is spared...

If we ever get banned from buying knives, most bushcrafters will just turn to their own communities and either make knives themselves (as many already do) and the rest of us will buy from those who can/do. Who's going to police what two bushcrafters swap in the woods? :rolleyes:
