    Where to buy leather ???

I get mine from http://www.theidentitystore.co.uk/default.asp I find the website easier to navigate than others and the service is great and friendly. The clincher for me though was that they have a much smaller minimum leather order size than most places.

Hi guys, I am a bit of a lurker on this site but thought you might like to see my latest. I am pleased with the way it came out. Danish oil and spoons

I made my 1st spoon a few days back from my xmas tree and have put a few coats of Liberon danish oil on it, it says its a 'blend of pure tung oil and natural oils' I probably should have asked this before but is it safe to eat from? its quite stinky stuff when not 100% dry They say its...

    steel grade

Xunil summed it up very well (especially regarding stropping). I have seen pics of nasty chips out of D2 blades, its brittleness is due to its high chromium content which almost reaches stainless steel levels but this makes it more resistant to corrosion than O1. Personally i would go with O1...

    Les Stroud's Temagami

if it truly is a laminated blade with a harder core and softer sides then i would consider that price almost a steal

    Les Stroud's Temagami

the rivets to hold the belt loop to the sheath are not covered, there is a high probability that over time they will scratch the heck outta the wooden handle. apart from that its a nice looking knife, i just wonder what the thickness is and what exactly they mean by 'carbon steel laminate' and...
