Just a random thought - does anyone know if a Mora Clipper/Companion etc. in its plastic sheath would fit nicely in a PLCE bayonet frog? I really dislike the belt "clip" on the Mora sheath and I've been toying with making a leather sheath but if a £5 bit of kit will suffice, I'd rather use that...

I don't see bushcraft as an activity in itself. I see it as a set of skills, knowledge and awareness of the natural world that in times gone by made life possible or even comfortable. I'm far from being an expert in any of these things but it always makes me happy when i can employ something...

I'm sure they're very effective but there are loads of knots that can replace it - unless I'm missing something? The knots are probably easier to tie that that thing is to set up! Googling "guy line knots" comes back with loads of ideas. Each to their own of course, it just seems like over...
