    Zebralight - the best head-light?

Haven't taken the plunge yet, but buying direct from Zebralight at $49 plus shipping (about £30) seems a reasonable deal. I'd be using mine around camp and the glow in the dark holder is more of a benefit than a hindrance I would think.

    Zebralight - the best head-light?

Recently came across the Zebralight H50 Q5, http://www.flashaholics.co.uk/zebralight/zebralight-h50.html has anyone else? Seems like the next generation of head-lights is here and many of the old problems with such lights have been resolved or worked upon.:thinkerg:

    paracord critique

OK, so who knows which dealers supply the genuine stuff? Claims and counter claims seem to be made by different websites and prices vary hugely. Also, is paracord always 1/8", about 3mm, because I have seen it offered in different diameters (and therefore presumably NOT "550")!?

    Primus EtaPower MF

Don't think that methanol is sutable for lamps at all. I understand that this is because of its volatility. However, you do need meths to pre-heat most pressurised lamps (and stoves too). I've just found that my local garage sells paraffin from a forecourt pump, about 60p per litre - is that...

    Primus EtaPower MF

So, has anyone used a Trangia with an EtaPower (or similar, if they exist) pot?

    Primus EtaPower MF

Oh, and does anyone have any experience of using methanol rather than meths (denatured alcohol) as the fuel for the Trangia - it's possible to get 25 litres of 99.96% pure methanol for £12.00 on ebyeckbay.

    Primus EtaPower MF

I'm considering a new stove to add to my Trangia so that I can cook at least two pans simultaneously when there's a bit of a crowd. The Primus EtaPower MF is very new and I haven't even seen one in the flesh, but does anyone have any experience yet? Because I carry paraffin (for the hurricane...

    Why not all wool?

I've tried a couple of brands of merino underwear and, contrary to their blurb, found them itchy! I remember as a kid being forced to wear a woollen bobble hat which also itched like mad. Woollen outerwear I find great though. S'pose I'm just a sensitive soul!

Bison Bushcraft Guide shirt (with pics)

snufkin Just a quick (additional) question on sizing - I am about to order a Guide Shirt, but can't decide between a medium or large. You've gone for a large, which from your photos would seem a good fit for me, but only if you are about 5' 10" - 5' 11" like me! If you're a 6' 7" giant then...

Stove options for tents - a compilation

By the way have any of you come across these fireboxes http://www.liard-firebox.ch/en/index.php I have been told that they are much superior to the Tentipi version. Adam

    Woodgas Stoves

Has anyone any experience of these stoves - www.woodgascampstove.com - they look simple, efficient and capable of producing some decent heat. I wouldn't use one for backpacking, but for 'car camping' their weight becomes irrelevant. They do not seem to be available in the UK, but, having...

tentipi tapp varrie 7 for sale as new with stove

Hi Gill Might well be interested, but is your tent the CP or Lite version, and is the groundsheet the Pro or Comfort? Would not need a stove though, so can you give a price for tent plus groundsheet pleas. Thanks Adam
