Inspirational stuff. They look great and functional too.
Very impressive work considering you've only just started!
Um, do you have wheels on your luggage?
Great work there Hamish, glad you are enjoying the journey
Very nice work. Love the pot hooks especially and a very tidy buckle as that looks complicated to do.
When you have talent, which you obviously do I believe you can do almost any craft and do it well.
So carry on and show us more.
Wow Hamish they're exceptional, very nice work, an obvious talent there!
OMG well and truly bitten
Have you had any sparklers yet? I once spent ages fashioning a leaf on a poker handle only to leave it in the coals a little too long. When I pulled it out it was a firework.
I have been waiting for this thread .
Well done mate , I knew that with your eye for detail and craftsmanship .
You would be just as quality with a forge and hammer .
How did you find the twists I've struggled so far but mine where deliberately tighter wound .
Its good to see you enjoyed the time on the forge .
Cracking stuff mate. Jealous as I'd love to give metal bashing a go. IMO you're a craftsman to keep an eye on
Thanks for all the replies it means a lot well no more blacksmithing for a while as I'm now in Sweden
typing on a phone is not easy! to try and answer questions I made a few sparkles aye! I soon learned to be wary. The twists I found okay if I worked fast but they are hard! I made a third pot hook last night which has a cool twist in it I shall try and upload a picture if possible
Where are you now?
Nice first knife, i also like the buckle. Oh hell its all good.
