Kept the postie busy today with lots of new toys arriving at once. :)

Got some Blackhawk para cord from Joe at ODS for my basha and it's lovely stuff.

My Laplander arrived and i only had time to cut up a log from the wood pile but it seems pretty effective.

Also got an order from the States and i finally got to try a blast match.
I still like the simplicity and versatility of a plain firesteel and i doubt i would choose it over a plain fire steel but it works well and produces a nice shower of sparks.

Got loads of other stuff and the best thing is that "C" didn't sting me for the dreaded import duty this time. :nana:

The saw is from Amazon.co.uk the other stuff was from the US.
Amazon have the Laplander at a great price - £17.97 but carriage is £5.89 ,total £23.86
There is free delivery with orders over £20.00 so i ordered the book Bushcraft by Mors Kochanski (£6.49) as well - total £24.46
(means the book really only costs 60p :yikes: ): ): ): )

Uncle Raymondo is charging £30.00 for the saw alone

I got the laplander saw and some books from amazon as well recently. It's a much better price than the upper £20's that the saw sells for locally. There was a two to three week wait on the saw, but since I ordered everything together they were shipped in 2 lots at no extra charge.

Nice one.
