Make a bow* drill! Length should be about from your elbow to your fingertips.
Experiment with different cord possibilities. Wood is OK for a bearing stone but that should not be hard to find and make.
Make some drills and point them with a nail that has the tip splayed out a little.
Drill the button holes as our Inuit people do.
* Inuit have no more than drift wood up on the tundra, there are no such things as trees.
So to be authentic, a very long rib bone (cow?) makes a very good drill bow.
