As a result of conspiring fates and an act of overwhelming generosity I have a brand new Gransfors Bruks Scandinavian forest axe which arrived from the UK distributor last week and I now have no requirement for.
it has never been swung, the mask has been off once briefly to inspect the edge, the head still has a covering of oil from the forge and the axe book is still tied to the helve. I ordered it for an imminent trip to Canada to replace an axe I gave away, but shortly after British Red surprised me by commissioning on my behalf a custom axe from the Swedish smith Michael Crgonja, a beautiful piece, which arrived yesterday.
So I'm selling the GB on, for a little less than I bought it for.
