I'm in Watford, but often up in Snowdonia trekking and wild camping around the hills. I just hate camp sites, althought there are a couple of farm campsites in the Ogwen Valley that I use when I need to wash!

Anyone know any good spots in the hills where you're unlikely to be disturbed by people? Ideally fire friendly (hobo stoves or very small contained fires) there are a few spots that I know but always looking to expand my 'spots' list :)

Your comment reminded me of an old AA book my parents had(they lived in Benllech since 1970-2009).
It called Anglesey as "flat and uninteresting" lol

LOL. I can't even try and argue there! Still, I'm thankful as to how quiet it is - I had more than a little shock when I moved away to uni. ...

I'm on Anglesey, near to Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Island. Lovely place but I could do with learning alot about foraging and other bushcrafty stuff. I would be interested in a local meet-up.

    Cheers

Anyone still here? Looking to get back outdoors! I've had a bad time recently with pretty nasty depression and need to start socialising again!

Depression is a terrible thing, so I'm glad you are coming out the other side. I'm too far away in South Wales, though at one time I lived in Llanfairfechan. Nice walk from there up onto Foel Fras.

Get out and about, highland or lowlands, and then talk to the people that you meet. You might meet the sort of people you want to spend more time with.

    Best of luck.

I came out 2nd best at at work place accident a few years back, I'm very much out of the game now. I get out occasionally with the hammock, but if it's twice a year I'm lucky
