As noted update following the course. The course takes place at an MOD facility. Portaloo are available within the carpark, which is around 100m or so from where you camp, so not too much roughing it. Firstly, this is a survival course and not bushcraft, however, the principles still apply...

Thought a thread showing tarp / sleeping set-ups may be of interest. I was going to upload a picture from today, however, is it possible to upload pictures from your PC or do you need to use a third party hosting site (which I don't have)?

I have read somewhere, that it is best to balance the load in the two side pockets, therefore if tarp/sleep system on one side, what would you put on the other side? Then, whatever is in the side pockets now would need to be inside the pack.

I can highly recommend this knife, very well made. If I didn't already have one I would buy this without hesitation.

I have just been to Ashworth Valley today and set up the tarp for a few hours in the rain - what a great day to spend time with my son.
