I was in Randan Woods Saturday in Bromsgrove and there are loads of bluebell shoots already starting to poke through.
Wont be too long till it looks like this again....
The eye's belong to cow's. I've got a couple of photo's of a new shelter i've built for winter/snow camping that i'll upload later.
Edit:
My home away from home for the next year or two (hopefully it lasts that long).
It still needs a bit of work, got to finish the weaving on the sides...
Finally managed to get round to this challenge. It was a couple of firsts for me. The first time i spent a night in the woods on my own, the first time i had succeeded in creating fire with a bow drill and the first time i had seen a deer in the wild.
My items were: Mora 2000, para cord...
My Items :)
Mora 2000, para cord/Compass, Bow saw blade, Food
If its sunny i'll take the compass but if its wet or cloudy i'll swap the compass for the para cord.
Not sure what food im taking yet if any. Probably just a tin of beans or soup out the cupboard.
Free items: FAK, water...
I've got a Mora 2000 and i wouldn't change it for the world. Even after using it to split quite thick logs and as an emergency tin opener it keeps a mighty sharp edge. After 3 years of use and i think i've only sharpened it 3 times.
For price to quality ratio they are the best imo.
Not long left to do this challenge, should be giving it a go by the end of the week.
1 question, will points be taken away if i use a shelter i have already build?
No, i managed to stop the bleeding before i dressed it. I have basic first aid but nothing that good common sense wouldn't have told me.
What i was saying is when i took the dressing off the next day, super glue would have been perfect to stop the cut opening back up again and not having to put...
I had a pretty bad cut out in the woods a couple of months ago (my first and last) making the shelter in the photo. I was quite lucky to have just enough supply's with me.
After i had washed the cut with water and squeezed fluid from iodine and alcohol swabs into it i covered it with a cotton...
