    Camper vs hiker vs farmer

I have the Farmer X and am constantly reminded that it's a more robust blade with a really aggressive awl and scissors. But I still have a tiny keychain Victorinox (Manager) on my house keys to provide tweezers.

Hello all wise ones! I need to ask for some advice, I have a few Opinels that I use for slicing food but they aren't in constant use and I find that after a while of not being used they get stuck in the folded position and I need to use pliers to open them and work them loose. HELP!!! Thanks...

mors kochanski 1.8L Pot. or the Dave Canterbury similar pot

They are essentially the same, both have locking handles and a creased pouring spout. I am a real fan of the Canturbury pots (both sizes) and have used them over gas burners and open fires with no problems at all. Today I received my Christmas pressie to my self and got a Kochanski pot...

Advice on BCB 35l daysack, Snugpack Sleeka pack or German Mountain Pack

I found that one on Ebay and pulled the trigger, so I will update the thread once it's been delivered (Monday hopefully) After looking at the details of both the BCB and the Snugpak the BCB looks superior so I would be interested in hearing why you prefer the Snugpak ?

Advice on BCB 35l daysack, Snugpack Sleeka pack or German Mountain Pack

IIRC the Mountain Pack doesn't have straps on the bottom unlike the Sleeka which has the guides for webbing straps or the BCB which already has the straps in place. The Mountain Pack has D rings on the top to strap on a tarp or whatnot

Advice on BCB 35l daysack, Snugpack Sleeka pack or German Mountain Pack

Hello all, I would love to hear what you think of my choices for my next pack First up is this http://bcbadventure.com/shop/35-ltr-para-day-sack-multicam/ It's a bit pricey and it's in camouflage but the green or black ones are discontinued (unless someone has one squirreled away in a...

Dave Canterbury style full tang knife

Just a thought.... get in touch with Hennies and ask them to get it for you, they've done it for me twice now with stuff from the USA, once from Dave Canterbury's site. When I checked the price they had just converted the $ into £ without gouging me for extra profit, great service. On a related...

    Swedish lk35

Have a look around Ebay etc. for Alice pack accessories, I got a belt and two padded shoulder straps for about £10 but that was a few years ago. It turned a really good pack into a great pack.
