I was looking for something like this for ages and in the end decided to have a go at making some myself.

The long ones are based on the ‘Remove Before Flight’ tags that you get on planes. They are hollow and I am planning to add a plastic tag inside for next of kin and medical info. I am also having some red / white text ones made, just waiting for the material to turn up.

The rectangular ones have a slot in the Velcro on the back to add a similar plastic tag to.

I might put some up for sale if there is enough interest.

Can you explain how these would be used? I've never seen a "Remove Before Flight" tag.
My ID tags on my cases are just about impossible to take off without bolt cutters.
I'd like to have the ICE information attached to me.

Yes I see these being on my shoulder bag or backpack, not on cases. If I got knocked down or collapsed in the street, they would have my medical and NOK details in them.

When I said based on 'remove before flight tags, I only meant the general shape and not the function of them. They have nothing to do with bags

On this bag I have just finished, I thought I would use the thinner one just poking out of the pocket, it could also be attached to a zip pull

I think they are a really good idea. It would be good to get someone like Phil Campion to endorse them, even if only a mention on twitter.

There are loads of ICE Cards, Found a nice printable ICE card that can be laminated and a plastic version for writing on. i really like the idea of this seeing as i take 4 different medications and I am usually walking my dog at night on country lanes by myself.

I have had the ICE in contacts on my phone for years but now with the increased security like finger print access to the phone it makes it harder to get the info across in an emergency.

Could you make a remove before flight (RBF) type in orange or red fabric with white letters?

I would like to buy one or maybe a couple if the price is around £10 a tag.

On most phones there one can have a message that can be seen without needing to open the phone, a simpler version is to write it on the phone.

We have these attached to our safety helmets in work in case of emergency.

Good idea, as they contain our NOK details and any other relevant medical info, should it be needed in a hurry.

We all have them attached to the back of our helmets in the same area, so that they can be found quickly.

Thanks,
Allan

What colour schemes do members think will be best ? I was thinking.

Red / White writing RBF
Black / Red writing RBF
Black / Red writing patch.

I can also do camo and olive green backing, I was maybe thinking black writing on these. I just need to check with the embroidery company if it is going to cost much extra to do lots of changing of threads and material each time I send them in.

Mk2 with hook and loop flap on back, these can be hung on d-rings, through MOLLE/PALS or onto a loop patch.
I am going to get a batch of Red/White lettering made up of these ones.

I'd be interested in these.

Costs?

They are going to be £10 each posted, I will put up the correct sales ad once I have the first ones made. What sort of colours are you interested in ? The first main batch are going to be Red/White lettering. But I could add some other colour material when they are sent to the embriodery company
