Helicopter dropped in....

The pic below was from my bedroom window, no zoom.......
Needless to say it was close.
What was impressive was the speed at which the helicopter approached and landed, no messing with circling, straight in and down....

Turns out a poor chap across the way had a heart attack.
Nice to see emergency services at their best

Most, if not all, of the pilots are ex services. IIRC, they need 2000 hours in the air to get the job in the first place.

the air ambulance (and the damned noisy RAF I think) practice near my woods. They fly along the river and then around or over the trees. Amazing how close they get, I can make out the letters on their helmets quite often! The jets are the most silly when they circle my 10 acre plot by flying on their side and only feet from the trees in the hedges!
