Hopefully, a Mod can confirm but I think you need to be a full member to do all of the posting stuff.

Shows a commitment to the website and doesn't cost much. Look at how many users are full members - if you like the site, it's worth joining properly.

Tony, can I have my £5 now, please? :D

Not that I know of mate. I'm only aware of being a FM to be able to post in the Member Classifieds section.

@ Wildman
Threads on Foxhunting and all related topics (bans, etc.) Are not suited for this (BCUK) forum, as it generally raise alot of mixed feelings and people get emotional about other people statements, threads get locked, people infractioned - all nasty stuff.
Though since this thread runs OK, and is lighthearted I let it go. If it turns political or starts to get serious I'll lock it straight away.

Again, BCUK is not the right forum to discuss this.

There's a thread (a sticky!!) on how to attach a picture in a post in the "How do I ..." section ...

In light of this post I will refrain from mentioning anything to do with country sports in future. I will take up spoon carving and firelighting instead. As a born and bred countryman I thought country topics were fair game. If the members are too immature to be able to discuss country matters then I will of course refrain.Shame I thought I had found a free thinking site at last.

Hi Wildman - Don't get too upset, certain things get lost in translation, like a mod saying 'I'll let it go'....some folks might comment that this sounds like a god complex leaking out (I'll let it go) when actually it is probably just a little something getting lost in euro translation.

Remember when something is middle of the road, pc or casts a wide net, mod's may need to reel things in from time to time to ensure someone, somewhere, does not get offended.

Great shame the picture had not been embedded in the first posting, there would be no talk of letting it go....yada yada.....it would be seen for what it was, a joke!

In reality, this was just a jovial posting which did not get the initial message out due to technical difficulties in posting a picture, nothing more.

Funny picture by the way. :lmao:

Whilst people warned of it getting heated, it did not no need for a mod to interfer, over modded sites die, seen too many of them go that way. I really would have expected people to be looking for the angle rather than the agro.As there is already a foxhunting ban I thought the title should give it away. And when posting I still see a box that says you may NOT post attachments so cannot embed a picture. No idea why mods seem to think the is no problem. but there certainly is one. HTML code is also off which is why my original link did not work as I added the " IMG" tags to the link. I do not have a manage attachments box, it is disabled so no amount of instruction will allow me to embed a picture.

If you've got complains about my modding, I suggest you drop Tony a PM or e-mail.
I'm here to keep things run as smooth as possible and to see that rules & regs are maintained. My interference was to enforce the comments (warnings / getting heated) made by established members. I mod in the light as I see fit and per Tony's guidelines and forum Rules & Regs.

Our experience is that threads on Foxhunting turn explosive in no-time. This is a sensitive topic. I've seen you piccy you try to post - but didn't worked out right. Eventhough it's meant lighthearted, people still (could) get agitated, etc. as it's so sensitive.

Therefor every thread about it is usually locked immediately (whether serious or lighthearted). We don't want to infraction overheated people who get drawn in, lead by emotions. Your thread slipped through as most Mods & Admin are at the BushMoot, and I've got a life besides modding :p

You can't use that bit - don't know why.

Did you had a look at the section I refered to in my previous post?

code is on so you can post pictures. Attachments would be something like attaching a word document. Check out the links that explain how to add a picture and you'll do just fine.

As for the fox hunting thing, well, folk will always find something to jump on the new guy for. Let it pass, you'll fit in in time.

I know - and many more are happy to "murder" flies, ants, wasps, and millions upon millions of bacteria.

What's the difference?

your still getting your knickers in a twist, mod what you want its your site, my feeble attempt at humour is obviously wasted on this site. as I said before I will stick to non controvercial subjects in future.
And no matter how hard I look I do not see a box saying manage attachments. (ok sorted in used CP settings, thanks)

Calm down wildman, mods have a thankless task.;)

When you post replies, you will find, just below the smilies, a panel headed "additional Options". In that panel is a button labelled "Manage Attachments", at least using IE8.

in the panel headed additional options is NOT a button labelled "Manage Attachments" and am using IE7, maybe that is the problem. Never mind. There is another way around it.

Whilst mods have a thankless? task they do perform a job. Some sites I frequent are self moderated by good behaviour of its members. I find it works on the simple basis of not posting with the intent to cause a problem. I assumed the photo I wished to post was a suitable subject for this forum, on the whole it has been favourably received and it never occurred to me it might be controversial. I have run animal rescue centres most of my life but also hunt vermin. I also have a smallholding and have had foxes kill over 150 chickens in one night. So really have no fixed views.I am moderate in thought and temper. some of the mods problems were obviously caused by the fact that English is a second language, I don't have a problem with that, wish I could speak another language.
