Arco Heads Up.

I went to Arco in Carlisle today for some new safety shoes and found out that they had lots of outdoor clothing on sale. As well as my shoes, I bought a Sprayway Goretex jacket in a pleasant brown colour for £40 ( RRP £150 ), and they had lots more waterproofs, soft shells and fleeces in the sale with up to 75% off. Some well known names too, like Sprayway, Berghaus and The North Face.

Do they sell to the general public ? I thought it was trade only in there. I`ll be gutted if they do as there`s a branch only about five minutes away from me.

They sell to the public too Rich. I was quite amazed at some of the reductions on well known brands.

Arco are brill....They have a contract wi' the council here so we get all our gear at a 10% discount.....

I was in the same Arco shop in Carlisle (theres only one) a week or more ago and noticed all the outdoor gear they had on sale.

Not usually a big fan of Arco as I have bought things from there then seen them for sale cheaper in B&Q the same day but on this occasion the outdoor kit was well priced.

They've got the Berghaus Blast down jacket for 39.99 - I just got one today. That's only the brown one - the black is still £75 - still a very good price.

I was after a pair of strides with padded knees suitable for canoeing and a quick search on the internet and I came across arco 5 minute drive away in colnbrook up near heathrow, never knew it was there. What a great shop, I got a really sturdy pair off trousers as tough as any "bushcrafty trousers" I've ever seen with loads of pockets and knee pads that can be inserted for a fraction of the cost.
The trousers were made made by Snickers if your interested.
