Seriously not bad though got a leather belt for the knife and camera as well.

Its not as much the belt that you use (1-3/4" leather lined) but the buckle. A good buckle will keep it all together a poor one will fail at the most inappropriate time

I use belts that ive made myself, good thick leather with sturdy solid brass buckles, nothing better than using self made gear imo, it's, how can i put it, more "satisfying"

But a tip is to punch holes all the way round so you can use it as a strap as well, also get one over sized , mine is about 60" long and was made by Mike at Tamarack on one of his leather working courses.
