Funny you should pop this on as me and my missus have just finished watching the lot fantastic films made when they knew how to make a great movie.

On the subject of the knife buck knives in the usa made them for the us military as a short run then when the rambo film came out sales took off and they sold thousands of them , if you have an original buck knife it's worth a lot to collectors.

Which model Buck was that? The BuckMaster 184? I have one somewhere which was allegedly supplied to the SEALS for a short period. The one with the daft grappling/anchor screw in inserts. That came out in 84 in response to them seeing the massive interest in Liles First Blood knife, and lucky for them, just before Rambo 2 was released in 1985, which was the same years that Buck released them to the public. They were lusted after along with the Wilky Survival knife back then. And it is worth quite a bit now. Quite a well made and solid hollow handle knife.
