Is "preparedness" a state of mind?

Bushcraft is my hobby so I am, by default, "prepared".

If Bushcraft wasn't my hobby then by the end of Day One I'd be eating brains.

Covid certainly changed folks thinking.

And I think communities got closer.

My village, which is very community oriented, (you would have to go far to find a village like it) has done things like open a cafe (very well attended) with a community shelf and fridge. We share all sorts of stuff.

Just had two mahoosive military planes fly over my home, probably less than a hundred feet up. This has never happened before like that.

Today there's at least four USAF Stratotankers over Devon, probably practising after the incident over Iraq the other day.

There was one of those big Chinook helicopters heading in the direction of Plymouth on Saturday.

Royal Marines use chinooks all the time, get loads of them around Plymouth, Chivenor and the South in general. Some are piloted by Royal Marines pilots. Plus of course there are loads of training areas around those parts. They're cool machines, especially given how old they are. Been on plenty of them and the pilots/crew are quite impressive.
