Agreed. Although you to me are more an elegant aquiline raptor.Yeh, I noticed that when I looked previously - I wonder why. I don't fancy 'Peacock Green'![]()
That was interestingly putThey don't seem to do a Dark Green in synthetic from what I can see , so i'm going to roll with what I have.
Yes I have, I used a large 10k Dixie pot and my fire pit to boil the water (took ages). Then used rit nylon dye. It was a medium sized sling type bag I dyed, it worked surpringly well. It was black and white and I dyed it black all overAnyone tried dying a nylon pack ?
Can you make the green they have darker? I was s**t at art so I don't even know what colours to mix together to make alternatives! They don't seem to do a Dark Green in synthetic from what I can see , so i'm going to roll with what I have.
In the video I posted he definitely mixed the colours a little. Can you make the green they have darker? I was s**t at art so I don't even know what colours to mix together to make alternatives!

I tried to dye some wool black last year and it turned out a really nice dark brown. Beautifully even and stable but not the colour I needed.I recently tried to dye some things brown.
Was put off because the dye - Rit for cotton IIRC - made some of the gear wnd up with a purple tinge, tried with different materials, cotton, denim, polycotton. I am not a fan of this purple hue so stopped.
Was not a back pack but be interesting to see how that as I’d like to do similar.
Some wool gear worked quite well with tea, gave nice light brown.
Fjallraven says yes.......................- As Broch eloquently said , something about 'Peacock Green' sounds a little , off.![]()

Yeah, wool blankets take a lot of dye, hence the experiment with tea bags, otherwise costs more than did the blanket itself.I tried to dye some wool black last year and it turned out a really nice dark brown. Beautifully even and stable but not the colour I needed.

Pass from me.
That's very useful
Thanks!
Interestingly, using the synthetic dyes, to get 'moss green', you need 1 Cup Peacock Green 1/4 Cup Chocolate Brown 2 Tbs Graphite![]()
