I’m trying to find a dentist who will part with worn out drill bits. Not for anything as comprehensive as your work, just to make small etchings in glaze.

For the price of diamond bits on amazon id buy new you can 3x30 assorted bits for £8:99 plus post

You used those??????
I’ve got a box of those somewhere.
When I tried to use them on steel I just scraped off the diamond coating. I was using a Dremel.

Yes just some diamond bits so if you are trying to engrave hardened steel you need slower work rate and less hand pressure and machine set to high speed
