Small ladle carved from a Hazel crook a little while ago, unusual sanded finish this time, normally i leave everything with an off the knife finish, but it just seemed to be the right thing to do on this one.

It's about eight inches long, not the largest, but spot on for sauces.

What's the ideal shape to start with? I'll keep my eye out.

bowl is from the larger diameter side from a "V" the handle being the other said of the "V" , the pith on handle ran down the back of the handle - hope that makes sense?

I'll see if i can get a photo/drawing of what i mean tomorrow.

yup, could make two from that, Beech is lovely to work too
