I've not carved one of these for ages, so using my TBS Wildcat and a random length of Hazel, I set to and got one done.

I've included many of the popular cuts, notches and reductions, but have excluded cuts that require the use of a baton, like the Butterfly notch, not just because i was using a folding knife, but because i carved the stick at the computer desk.

There is still room to add a few more notches if i want to at some point in the future.

Immaculate!

Apart from the link that Toddy shared, are there any other guides for making one?

I'd love to give it a try.

My first effort - such a satisfying way to pass the time.
I tried with seasoned and greenwood - definitely more forgiving when the wood is fresh. Even so, how @Kepis makes the wood look like it's been milled is beyond me.
It was also a great way to get familiar with my Joker Bushlord which I'm really happy with.
Thanks for the inspo!
