Nope, no humans involved in this one. If this hadn’t have been witnessed, that’s what I would have thought upon first inspection.
 
Mmm... good one :) Was the human disturbance the only thing that stopped it being taken or eaten?

I think most of our birds of prey are too slow for such targets (except maybe a Gos) but I suppose it could have been taken totally unaware.

I would hazard a guess at another mustelid - maybe a mink?
