Anyone use them?
I guess "unissued" is probably fine but do folks trust the lower more battered grades?

I'm half looking for a bigger pot to go on my gasifier but I don't use it very often and it makes a hell of a mess of pots.

All Aluminium pots and pans will get badly damaged if ‘dry’ cooked.
Try to find the Swedish mess kit in stainless steel.
Rare as hen’s teeth these days but do come up for sale from time to time.

How big of a pot are you talking about?

You might be better off looking at some of the MSR alpine pots than a mess kit.

Maybe depends where you get it from, one sellers used and another's could be very different?

I've not bought cooking pans second hand, but bought other stuff from endicotts and even their lowest grade has been perfectly serviceable for my needs.

i can't remember exactly what size it is tbh, I've got a smaller MSR pot that goes on my alpkit alchy stove no problem but it's a bit small and is a little tenuous on the gasifier. I'm just being cheap really, I've got a much larger pot with heat exchangers and stuff but I don't want that to get too messed up as I use it for walking and I expect the gasifier would clog the exchanger pretty quickly.
