Morning,

Thought the forum would be interested in DD's new range of Superlight tents Tarps and mesh tent inners that they put on their website yesterday.

http://www.ddhammocks.com/products/tents

Interesting idea that you could use a Tarp you already have with their Mesh Inner A-Frame.

I'm very tempted but am going to hold off because for some reason they haven't posted any dimensions for any of the new products or any pictures of the A-Frame with one of their Tarps.

I'd be interested in the Forum's thoughts?

(I have no association with DD).

Morning,

This is only the second time I've posted on the forum and I'm clearly struggling to master it as I can't see my original post (or it's waiting for approval before it's published)?

Anyway I was just going to draw attention to the new DD Superlight Tent and Mesh Inners and was wondering what everyone thought?

I might buy the A-Frame but am surprised DD haven't published any dimensions (none on any of these new products) and it'd be good to see a photo of the A-Frame with one of their Tarps as it's intended.

I'd be interested in your thoughts?

Hello again, can I ask advice from the forum. I've now posted twice with a simple question about new DD products (and a link to their site) however the posts appear to disappear or get deleted.
I've read the Forum rules but can't see any reason why this would happen. Any advice is much appreciated?
Many thanks.

Looks like you post was just held awaiting mod approval as you're a new member. Now it's showing everything should be fine :)

Hi if you press on the picture and then click on Specs& More, you'll find the info you are after. Personally i like to hang so these wouldnt be for me.

Apologies, it was in the moderation queue and I hadn't got around to checking it. All should be OK now.

I looked at it first thing this morning, there was just the title and a reply box below. I think a gremlin might have visited.

Gaudette, you are absolutely right, not sure how I missed the dimensions. Many thanks.

I agree, I prefer hammocks, thought these might be an interesting option for when you just can't find the right trees (and could be quite a cost effective version to a tent if your using a Tarp you already own).

I think I might just wait to see it any pictures turn up showing how a 3x3 or even a 4x4 tarp would look over the top of the A-Frame.

Cheers.

Just had a look at those - I like the idea of the one man tent with mesh inner door. I can see that would be a good warm weather alternative to my Banshee and worth it for the considerable weight saving. I'd need to see some reviews though before really considering it - and then of course, it would still need to pass the swmbo 'why do you need another tent' test!

Interresting. I'll also probably look into the pyramid for situations where i want a bit more privacy than a tarp, or more cover. (Mainly the privacy when camping around others.)

Saw one of these on someone's instagram a few months ago, no wonder I couldn't find them on the Internet he must have been trailing them

Looks like many of the Chinese tarp tents on Aliexpress, I wonder if it's dd's own design or if it's just got their branding on it?
