Hi folks,

I watched two movies last night, the first was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXMp9fBomJw
I think they must of cut the budget for this one, it was no were near as good as the first two.
I'd been waiting to watch this, but was left a bit disappointed :(

The second one was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGvTRG-iud8
Now this was a really good watch, with Mel Gibson in the leading role. I can deffo recommend this, cracking watch with a great story line :)

If folks can recommend any they have watched, we could keep this thread open.

Cheers :)

Looking forward to seeing the Mel Gibson film. Really not a fan of his drunken outbursts but I enjoyed a couple of his recent ventures.
'Edge of Darkness' & 'Get the Gringo'...

A film I saw recently and would definitely recommend is 'In Order of Disappearance' - Stellen Skarsgard.

Fargo is also very funny , got to love the Cohen Bros. for writing these gems.
I've seen most of their work with one or two exceptions. But "Lebowski" tops the list for me.

Thanks for the heads up though...

Never heard of it, looks good!
"to watch" list updated, cheers Big G

Honest mate, it is absolutely hilarious.

I had it recommended off a mate, who only watches comedy's.

You won't be able to sit still watching it.

A firm favourite of mine has always been Boondock Saints... not because its particularly well acted but it its funny and a good story.

The World's End (Simon Pegg, Nick Frost) is brilliant, but I'm biased as I know someone who matches the character of Gary King.

Favourite comedy of all time is Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but close seconds are Ghostbusters (the original, not the recent abomination) and Office Space. In fact, I'd recommend Office Space a lot... its a great film.

Non-comedy, The Last Castle with Robert Redford... really great story and well acted by all involved.

Period drama/comedy... Plunkett and Maclane... an 18th century romp about highwaymen and the system of the time.

Buffalo Soldiers is another good film, although not to everyone's taste for obvious reasons. And for an alternative superhero story that shows what a real life superhero might be like, Super. Its a bit graphic and definitely dark humour, but its memorable and will put off any silly notions anyone ever has about being a superhero.

Speaking of dark humour, another Simon Pegg film, Burke and Hare... period dark comedy about the infamous grave robbers.

Bizarre silliness, Hot Tub Time Machine. Freaky mind-bending stuff, The Butterfly Effect. 80's nostalgia, The Breakfast Club.

Want to see what James Bond did after he was caught trying to steal microfilm from the Americans and kept in prison for 30 years? Try The Rock.

A serial killer who likes to torture his victims in a public place? Phonebooth.

Must apologise really, I'm a film buff... so much so, my collections has taken up walk-in cupboards with my VHS copies and entire walls of my home with DVDs... since I discovered digital downloads, I have a massive collection on Flixster now as well... very useful for long train journeys or any place you have to sit around waiting.

One more film... only because I've been watching it this morning... Young Guns. The story of Billy the Kid... surprisingly accurately as well.
