Thanks Dave it was a very thick blanket i used,I like the look of the swannies some people i know wear them and say thay are excellent.

I like those mate. Very authentic looking. Funnily enough im just looking for some old garments suitable for making some wool neck bags. Want somewhere to keep the cold sensitive kit like batteries. Thinking i might convert a scarf to have some pockets on the end and stuff it in my layers. goodjob

Thanks Paul:) ... .I like the pockets on a scarf ,thats a very good plan,you have got me thinking about pockets and how to use them,I like Shackletons front chest pockets shk ton.jpgthay are in a good place for food, maps, cameras, ice fangs ect. yore neck bag plan will do the same job :) ...

I have just got me a Dachstein jumper and I must say its a nice bit of kit its much warmer than than any I have.jumper.jpegThay are about 40 pounde on ebay and are well wourth the cash.The high neck makes it extra warm:) ...

I picked up one of those Austrian jumpers a couple of months ago too, fantastic bit of kit, mine is dated 1983 and is in mint condition, easy to see why they cost £300 new.

Thay cost 300 new ,I did get it at a bargin then. Mine to is from the 1980s and in fantastic condition thay are the dogs.d mits.jpegThe Dachstein mitts are very warm and go well with the sw army mits.jpegSwedish army mittens that toodogs put up.

I have just got one of the Hudson bay knifes hudson knaf.jpegfrom Condor for about $40 and it is well worth the cash it will be very useful when wearing mittens.Like a leuku the knife of the samisami knaf.jpeg but the hudson is a lot cheaper,But the sami knifes are a work of art.:) ...

Thanks ozzy and dave cemeron and toodogs the wool mits are from Alpenstock in Stockport and cost about 25 I love Dachstein clothing I am looking for some dachstein socks dach clothing.jpegIf thay are like the mits thay will do as bed socks and go well in my mukluk liners.
