Oh yes... she deserves to go back to work.

I dream of owning a cruiser but the little wifey rather pointedly said that there wasn't anything in our garden for the axes I've got let alone, as she put it, a ruddy great big axe :rolleyes:

But one day I will... :)

So what weights the head then? Is it a standard 2.5lb cruiser?

It is mate. I think it would work on 28" - but no shorter. I would also slim down the bulge below the eye and go for a slightly more pronounced pommel swell as on the GB working axe.

I really must learn to make my own helves.........
 
No great skill in the restoration - although I did photograph the process and would be happy to do a little write up if anyone would like to see it step by step.

The axe head though is a beauty and its pleasing to put it back into use.
