We're going to need some cover around the fire if the weather looks bad. I can bring a 4.5 x 3 metre DD tarp for the communal area but we'll need an extra one I'd have thought with all the people coming. Shame you can't make it Spike, see you next time mate. Who's arriving on Friday afternoon then? I know you wouldn't want me to get bored...

I wont be there next time either im afraid Simon, got a long standing booking for the Saturday of the May meet up weekend, next one im likey to be at, is June, might see if they have any free space for a mid week meet up before the schools break for the summer though.

Shout if you sort a mid week one Spike, I can always skulk over for a night as it's so near. The other weekends might be out for too.

Kepis: Shame you can't make it but work is work. I can nip over to yours on evening if you want to have a go with the forge, if you want.
I will bring some amasteel & my splicing tool thing that makes it a lot easier to make Whoopie slings. I have some amasteel as well if anyone wants to learn or practice making them.
I will be over on the Friday & will bring my grill. We can make some supports for Spandit's grill in the forge if you want, as I have picked up several metre lengths of cheap mild steel that will do the job OK.
I have a large 4.5mx4.25 Polycotton tarp that we can use as a group shelter area but we will need to be careful with the fire; should be OK of we hang it high enough. I will bring it along & we can play. At this rate I may have to buy a parachute...

Think I've got a fire brigade salvage sheet in the shed (don't ask and I won't tell). Will see if I can drag it out and throw it in the car, but will need lines and stuff as I don't have it rigged for bushcrafting.
