Could someone confirm for me the pitch we are on.
This thread says D4, but on the end of the march thread it says D1.
I'd hate to get it wrong and have to move.

I wonder if we can park in the carpark next to the aptly named "Spike Island" (D18)? Anyone used D4 before?

Think i'll park up by reception and walk up, as the road to "Spike Island" is designated as 4wd only, the excercise is good for you.

I think D4 is on the main track, it's only the car park that isn't. I'm bringing a toddler + kit to begin with so will need it fairly close...
You can drive your car right up to the site but you must leave it the carpark overnight. I try to carry all my stuff in one go - but you can make several trips if you want!
I believe they call it Land Rover country, now if only I had a Land Rover...

Yes you can drive up to D4, which is about halfway between the main car park & the toilet block on the road to the Ranger's car park. As usual you can drive up there to unload but then park back in one of the car parks when you are unloaded. The main car park is the closest one for this meet:

I meant another sleeping bag! I know all about the Therm-a-rest seat thing - looking forward to seeing it as I've got a couple of large ones*

Looks like it could be a wet one, especially on the Saturday - glad I've got a bigger tarp now - will be useful to see if I can prevent rain running down the hammock suspension
