Good find, although disappointing.... stunning pics tho!

Agreed, they're beaut's. Love the glowing tent shot. Nice find Rich, I'll bookmark that site.

Thats a definite no snow then :(

Theres a little dusting forecast for this week and a couple of inches due on saturday. I think its best for us to get up when the weather finally throws us a bone :(

Oh well, the wait continues for a (short) while longer.

Are you getting up anyway there KP? If it was on my doorstep, I'd be there.

Any jobs going in Banchory? :lmao:

Well, I think if there will be a bigger gathering in the next month or so, I'll save my weekend pass till then!

Reckon I'll take the wife and kids up to Linn of Quoich for a wee walk instead- should be enough to keep me same I think.

As for jobs in Banchory...depends on what you do eh?! Lol

Its last chance saloon for this year. Theres signs of a strong northerly setting in from after the end of next week according to the model watchers. The met office are still sticking to warmer, windier conditions though.

Heres hoping for a stoppage time goal :)

Managed a spot of hammocking at -7 on the weekend, without tarp or underquilt. No exactly a record, but still not bad at all..
Good effort Harvestman :) Be careful though, its strangely addictive and you'll end up driving the length of the country to break your own record.

Booked off Friday 24th and Monday 27th, bring on the snow

Woohoo! Gales for the weekend and semi heatwave forecast for this week. Talk about jinxing the weather

Its well and truly over for this winter and its time to think about digging out the head net .

This year has been a blatant slap in the face reminder that weather forecasting for our beloved blighty is trickier than herding cats. The Met office and netweather have been the most accurate this year IMO, with exacta weather telling me exactly what I wanted to hear but being as wrong as could be.

We did get the coldest temp ever recorded here last week, it probably got down to -17 where I was bivvying. When I got home, the phone lines had broken and I'm still off the phone with slug speed broadband.

I'm now praying that theres going to be some cold in Norway for the survival course.

Oh well. 2013 attempt anyone?

Sunny Wales!
All being well, I shall have my kit packed and ready to beat -9.

We drove 30 miles last year to be 3 degrees warmer than it was at my woods/front door. Doh!
