I've not been too impressed with my new camera, to be honest.:(

It's an Olympus 590uz, which replaced my much more impressive 550uz, when I killed it by dragging it off the desk and onto the floor.:togo:

I suspect it's me rather than the camera but even on auto, the pictures leave a lot to be desired.

Except if you want to zoom in, then the 26x zoom is quite good!

I took a few pictures the other day, up above Stanhope in Weardale.

This was just at the roadside, looking up the hill to the Waskerley Way.

The distance is at least a mile I'd say and I decided to see what the vehicle on the horizon was:

I was able to sneak a shot at some grouse;

as well as a few smaller things too!:

but then I heard what I had really come for, sadly, far too far across the valley but I took a shot on full zoom anyway;

I actually aimed at the glint of sunlight, as I couldn't really see much else!

So maybe I need to learn a lot more about the camera:rolleyes:

just thought I'd share

That is really good. Imagine what you could do if you actually knew what was going on :lmao:

I'm sure you're right!;)

My son is a natural at this game, he takes the photo's I'd like to take:confused:

I reckon it's something to do with me being left handed:bluThinki

it's certainly a clever bit of kit, maybe a bit too clever for me though:eek:

cheers

Steve
