Picture(s) of the day. We had a much needed thunderstorm this evening, which bought the temperature down from 38°C to 31°C. That was a few hours ago. The current temperature is 26°C. Phew! We can breathe again. Better make the most of it because the meteorologists claim another heatwave is on the way next week & the forecast for the week after looks like a replay of what we have just lived through.

I suppose I ought to post a recent photograph. My work is considerably more ‘arty farty’ one might say, these days. I call this one ‘Komorebi’ which is a Japanese term that translates as light filtering through the trees.

Exmoor ponies . Poor mites looked so hot. Desperately trying to find shade.
We have been asphixiated this afternoon by the smoke of wildfires raging in The South west. The smell is akin to being 1ft away form a camp fire with the smoke blowing in your face.. All last week the wind was blowing from the N. East so we were somewhat protected but today the wind changed to a S. Westerly, so the whole region has been invaded by smoke.. It's got dark too.
