I succumbed to the temptation today... I noticed that the yews near my work were extremely heavy with fruit, and, well, I just had to find out.

They're delicious!

All dicslaimers apply: don't try this at home kids - or if you do, don't blame me! If I disappear from the site in the next couple of days you'll know why.

And if you do decide to try this how about planting the seed afterwards. Bowyers could always use a few more yew trees down the line
