Hope you all had a good time :)

I'm afraid that by the time I got home and after 10 hours on my feet teaching with only a 20 minute break for quick sandwich, I was more in need of a sit down and something to eat than rushing out to Glastonbury.

It would be half nine, quarter to ten before I could get there now.

So instead I'm going watch Monty Don on thatching !!

Must be getting old.

See you all next time.

shame you couldnt make it Graham :(

but yes, a good time was had, or at least so in my opinion, will let others comment for themselves, although, by the standard of jokes being fired off when i left to come home at just after 11, im pretty certain everyone was having a good time

great to meet up with you all and look forward to the meet on the 26th, big thanks to jaysurfer for hosting the first one

if we are lucky, we may have pit-roasted placenta for the evening meal! lol

now who was it that was going to do that poll? ;)

Great night, stinking hangover and very nackered.
The king Arthur(nutter) bloke from holland decided to fall in to the dorm at glasto backpackers at 4.30 this morning only to find our very own freddy sleeping in what he claimed was his bed.Umm he did not think it very funny.
He left to kip in the kitchen(lucky for us).
Look forward to see ye all again

Well to anyone who's reading this that wasn't there............ You should have been there.

It was great fun, really good to hook up and put faces to names etc.
Not really knowing what to expect it was better that than I had expected. (the beer may have helped...)

Paul aka Bushwacker should be nominated for a prize for something... i'm just not sure what it would be for.. could it be;
1. chatting up the most blokes
2. getting the most free samples in the kebab shop
3. coming up with the best recipe for a placenta
4. being as funny as a big bag of funny things
Oh, if you'er interested in placenta jerky he's your man. :tongue-ti

Also really looking forward to the entertainment at the next meet.... Drum roll please for Baz and his amazing 'Spit Roast' show. should be a real show stopper. :lmao:

At the start of the night I was undecided if I would stay out or not, but that soon changed. As Paul say, I stayed at the Backpackers, which was fine even if Mr Weird (I'm from Holland and know where king Arthur is) showed up at 4:30am cusing in foreign'ees.

It was just really good fun, thanks to jonajuna for getting the ball rolling on this, and thanks to all that showed up. Looking forward to the next meet, I hope that a few of the other that couldn't make it last night, can make it next time.

salad u should of said he was arthur n u found him!
i thought it was a great night, it was a very likable group and i think a wknd of it should be alot of fun indeed.
After the kebeb shop and bushwhacker asking for freebies and the bloke outside the crown stealing the remainder of my kebab i managed to get paul (bushwhacker) home bout 1.30 and then i very nicely got given a cup of tea and cheese & biscuit selection with cured meat! (result)
pual then proceeded to try and light a fire in his lounge andx try to convince the very nice mrs bushwhacker that she should come camping on her due date so we can have the first bushcraft baby at the first Somerset meet and take pics to post on the forum!.....

I think i got home about 3.30am....

Did i miss anything? Think it was one of the most random nights i've had so far this year and am very glad to of met you all.

I'll start a new thread for the meet. everyone who came last night is welcome to come + a couple of pregnant other halfs maybe and some extra's we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet... Mytosis, syberian, tee dee, chris the cat (if he's free?) and a few more...

Yep and if it stops me from having wknds away i'd rather not get married...

i'll just knock the occasional woman over the head with a stick and drag em off to a cave and have a few little ******** running round..... that's if i don't drown them first! ;-) lol

Cracking night, great company, weird town though - quite a few post-acid casualties from the 60's milling about.

Looking forward to the woods meets.
