Following on from other similar threads in this forum area, here are some items that I have made for family inter-house presents. This year they are all cutting/bread/cheese (delete as applicable) boards, and intended for use. One is made from a waste piece of English walnut found in a wood suppliers junk bin, and the others are all made from a single board of rippled maple. All were sawn, shaped, sanded and finished by hand. Final finish for all was several coats of very hot walnut oil (heated in a microwave), and time allowed for polymerisation in direct sunlight, as far as possible in the last month or so
So here are the pictures......
Note that the final picture is actually a very short (4 second) video but for some reason Flickr wont dish up a video link, just a jpeg picture link. If you want to see the video it is available on my Flickr as per my signature.
