really dissapointed after 8 years of waiting I received email today from woodlore stating no more of the original knives will be made

Blimey, eight years! That is quite some dedication - my eldest child is 8 and I can't imagine waiting that long!

As said, lots of other options though.

Janne makes a good point there are lot of choice's to be had and plenty of a similar style if you truly want something akin to a woodlore. And the site is graced with top grade craftsmen.

8 years.... it was the ray mears bushlore knife that got me interested in making knives in the first place, i couldnt afford one... its only taken me 4 years from knowing nothing to learning how to and collate the tools/workshop to make my own!

I've found it to be cheaper, but some how they left out the part about it being a wee bit addictive!

Have you considered contacting Alan Wood direct? You would have he Ray Mears branding on it but same maker.

I have a nice Alan Wood bushcraft knife made about 3 years ago
Antler with black liner it’s a lovely knife

Considering how many clones there are out there and how easy it would be to mark one with the RM logo, I'm surprised there isn't a counterfeit industry for these. With the insane prices they fetch I'd be surprised if somebody hadn't thought of it
