Um, would it help if I said the sort you heat a house (or a caravan or a narrowboat or a mannest) with

one is a wee jotul solid fuel cooker for the kitchen, designed to act as an axullary to the main cooker.

I saw the title and had a thought (very dangerous for me). Can you actually get a wood stove. A stove made of wood, to contain a heat source etc. There must be some sort of fire proofing available these days. Does any one know???????/

Is this a wind-up or a genuine question? I can't quite tell.

Hi Tengu - Am currently looking for a wood burning stove for the house and also one for the tent which I can also use in the workshop.

If the stoves you have are suitable for either of the above requirements I'm very interested in seeing pictures.....
Just noticed you are next door in Wiltshire so not too far to collect then, I could also drop off some lanyard tube, pins, liners....yada yada...... ;)

Cheers
Tom

Not a wind up a genuine question. Is there such a thing as a wood stove ie a stove made from wood

unlikely..... commercial materials or coverings that can preven wood burning (even for hours) are available - i.e. to prevent the spread of fire in a building for a short time. Given the temps a wood stove gets up to internally there is no way those commercial coverings/paints etc would work.

wouldnt work imo, as wood is well, wood, and flammable

Ok I'll give you £300 for one. If I close my eyes and concentrate really hard I can see it. Please don't send me the wooden one.

I think the wooden one would be a bit heavy do you have a paper one? I heard you can cook fish in the oven wrapped in paper so a paper stove would do me nicely and be really light to carry. I'll give you £250 for the paper one.
