Hi

Im thinking of investing in a wood burning stove before this winters outdoor entertainments!!

Does anybody have any experience of the helsport wood burning stoves, the pros, the cons etc. They seem like a slightly more 'reasonably' priced alternative to the tentipi versions. Alternatively can anyone reccommend any other types? It would be for car or canoe based camping in either baker or 7-9 man tentipi style tents.

Thanks

daryl

I believe Soar has the helsport stove. Many others have different types of stove as well though. I'm quite interested in this as I am in the process of saving up for a stove and tipi combination.

Try the Bison stove sold by Mad Bear. I'm very happy with mine and its much much cheaper than the Tentipi version. Excellent for cooking on. I use mine very successfully in my Varrie 9.Of course it rusts a bit, but you will have to go to stainless to avoid that which is £££. It's painted black which gives it some protection and it can always be touched up with BBQ paint.
