Wood Ant Carving

whilst having a wonder around one of our local parks, I came across this wood ant by a childrens playground.
It is about 5 foot long and I thought an impressive bit of carving.

Has anyone else been surprised by a piece of carving or sculpture they have found unexpectantly

Years ago at a zoo in Devon (can't remember where) there was small metal climbing frame in the shape of a spider. I put one foot on it, like the triumphant hunter with a kill, and my friend threw herself in front of it, impersonating a helpless damsel rescued in the nick of time.

i cant beleive they would put something like that near a playground! it is a fantastic bit of carving but that would give kids nightmares!

(for the record, i really really dont like ants!)
