Winter beauty?

I took this photo of this little beauty about 1/2 hour ago. It's the 4th of December! Is this unusual to see a butterfly at this time of the year? or is this another symptom of global warming

Hasn't really got cold enough for some of them to hibernate...
Tis a Red Admiral btw....Not that unusual to see them in december, saw one a couple of weeks back myself...
