Hi all,
I have a R/M neck sheath, and a slightly larger Stewart Marsh bushcraft knife that I want to carry in the neck sheath.
I can get the knife in the sheath, but its a tight squeeze, and hard to get back out.
My question is, will the leather keep the shape of the knife if I leave it in the sheath for an amount of time, and will it end up streatching to size???

yes it will strech. You could give it a wee help by thoroughly wetting the leather, oiling then wrapping the knife in cling film and putting it in the sheath and then leaving it to dry naturally but tbh tighter the better, I'd probably leave it in for a couple of weeks without wetting and see how it goes.

HTH

cheers,

Alan

I'd agree it will stretch over time. Personally I would wet form it round the knife that way you can get a nice positive 'click' to hold it in place
