Wildlife Crime in Scotland

This is a few months old but I was delighted to read it today. The petition is like a who's who of Scottish landowners and I'm glad they think like this:

I have good reliable information from an ex estate worker, that what the lord of the manner says to the press and the police is a complete different story to what the gamekeepers ghillies etc are ordered to do to stay employed. It is shocking to say the least. Basically if it isnt a pheasant, grouse or other game bird they dont give a hoot and will quite happily order mass shoots and poisonings of protected species to protect the game species. I have also heard of wildcats being hunted.
