Wild plum variety

I know, I'm consatntly picking the brains of Messrs Picket, Moonraker and Ranger Bob.

So lets all guess what this thread is about :lmao:

Now this is what I know as a wild damson

This though is very pointed, much smaller (half the size), yellow without exception and clearly a wild plum of some sort (flesh, stone, smell and taste - yes I did the poison tests)

Does it have a name or is is just one of the many interbred varieties known as a bullace? I have tried food for free and Collins how to ID trees to no avail on anything completely positive

These are all growing near me are they a cross breed damson? Funny thing is there seem to be more varieties (colourwise that is) than there normally is :confused: Have they mutated or didnt I notice they were there origionally :confused:
